Job Summary
The Analytical Chemist is responsible for performing internal analytical tests on seasonings, coating, bakery, and other such farinaceous substances and reporting those results to the formulating Food Scientist. Benefits

Maintain flow of incoming samples, outgoing test results, and reports to Scientists or other Technical groups as directed by the R&D Director. This is to be accomplished in a timely and competent manner to meet the requirements of a fast‑paced laboratory work environment. Maintain all analytical laboratory equipment, materials, and chemicals associated with the laboratory. Interface with outside laboratories to conduct testing not available in‑house. Learn new analytical techniques and equipment technology as purchased or otherwise acquired by the laboratory. Assist in training of new employees on laboratory equipment usage, maintenance, and handling. Operate and maintain a sanitary, safe, and secure laboratory. Perform other duties or special projects as needed. Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Laboratory Science and/or 5 years experience in a food, micro, or medical analytical laboratory testing position. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and general knowledge in Adobe applications, MS Office, AS400, and Lotus Notes. Work Environment
General office setting Periodic exposure to: (1) loud environment, (2) airborne particles with stronger odors associated with spicy food ingredients, (3) cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions, (4) walking and standing on concrete, (5) climbing steps, ladders, (6) standing on elevated surfaces. Fast paced, resource lean environment Salary
