Position Overview We are seeking an accomplished and results‑driven District Sales Manager to assist with sales operations in Southern California, specifically Orange County and San Diego County. This role involves managing and supporting a team of sales representatives, driving business growth, and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and winery partners. The position requires a strategic mindset, hands‑on leadership, and a consistent presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales objectives
Identify and secure new business opportunities while supporting the growth of existing accounts
Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Maintain a strong in‑field presence (3–4 days/week) to engage directly with accounts and the market
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with customers and winery partners
Represent the company and our wineries at tastings, wine dinners, trade shows, and industry events
Act as a brand ambassador for our portfolio, ensuring alignment with winery goals and standards
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of wine industry sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership capacity
Comprehensive knowledge of California wines, varietals, and appellations
Demonstrated success in managing and motivating sales teams
Exceptional organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment
Residency in, and strong connections within, Orange County or San Diego County
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds and travel frequently within the territory
Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screening and background check
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience and location
