Join the dedicated Retail Team at The Salvation Army’s Gilroy Thrift Store, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. Collaborate with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards, and donations. Assume responsibility for day-to-day operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager. Discuss concerns with District Sales Manager. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability as projected by budget and goals. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedule store employees to ensure adequate coverage; coordinate daily morning and shift-change meetings; provide coaching, training, and development; process paperwork per Review Standards (Time and Attendance). Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction; develop strategies to improve service and the overall customer experience. Support Back Room Processing (BRP) to meet daily processing goals. Supervise, support, and conduct reporting of program Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place at the store. Protect store currency, inventory, and property; manage cash deposits, bank deposits, products for sale, equipment, and building security. Ensure the building is secured during non-operating hours with alarm arming and alert protocols. Maintain safety measures in line with ARC policy and regulations; report safety issues/incidents; assist with weekly store meetings. May be transferred or relocated to other stores based on business needs. Complete all tasks assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration. Position Objectives

Provide customers with the best selection and service while maintaining well-organized stores to support spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs. Meet store sales and income budgets while managing expenses to maximize profitability. Create a positive, mentoring environment for Beneficiaries through collaboration with program staff. Implement Work Therapy Assignments and keep Beneficiaries focused on areas for improvement. Qualifications

High School diploma/GED Minimum one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred Must pass background check (criminal history and sex offender registry) Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers, and donors Physical Demands

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, carts, and fixtures Lift up to 50 lbs Perform various repetitive motion tasks Core Competencies

Stores operate 7 days per week. Schedules are set by management; flexibility is required to ensure adequate store coverage. Sales Leads may work part-time shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Equal Opportunity
