$125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr We are currently seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and driven Permanent Workers Comp Attorney to join our robust legal team. This exciting position offers the opportunity to represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, and advise clients on legal transactions. As a Workers Comp Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a variety of workers' compensation cases. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a challenging, fast‑paced environment, and is eager to make a significant impact in the lives of our clients. Responsibilities
Represent clients in court or before government agencies. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in workers' compensation cases. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case. Counsel clients about their legal rights and obligations, and suggest courses of action in business and personal matters. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interests of the client. Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice law in the state. 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the field of workers' compensation. Proven experience as a plaintiff attorney is a significant advantage. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies and arguments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality, a professional demeanor, and discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
