Position Overview
The Senior Analyst, Data Management position works within the Data Management team and manages the media performance data setup, maintenance and troubleshooting across a set of Mediahub clients. This role will provide analytic direction to support clients and help guide more junior analysts to improve our clients\' marketing programs, as well as lead projects/analysts. They will support all aspects of data processing for subsequent analysis and performance reporting. The Sr. Analyst, Data management collaborates with clients and internal teams to manage data logistics – including data specifications, structures, rules and transfers from numerous media channels and partners providing valuable insights to the Mediabrands team.
Responsibilities
Understand our clients\' digital and non-digital media ecosystems including challenges of data tracking with cookies/SDKs, website tagging options, impact of walled gardens, and basic TV and OOH measurement and attribution options.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to manage data logistics - including data specifications, structures, rules and transfers from numerous media channels and partners. Proactively identify and communicate barriers to complete work requirements.
Assist in the development of SQL stored procedures, views, functions, performance tables, and well-tuned queries. Analyze and profile data contained in relational databases using both SQL query language and DBMS business tools.
Collaborate in the development of dynamic reports that enable end users to define parameters to filter and aggregate data as required. Create custom reports that allow end users to drill down on dimensions for more detail.
Monitor and manage data quality processes and data integrations. Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all the data exchange and data solution processes. Ensure data platforms and processes are running well in data collection, integration and processing.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to manage data logistics - including data specifications, structures, rules and transfers from numerous media channels and partners. Proactively identify and communicate barriers to complete work requirements.
Coach, guide and support analysts of data management and insights analysts. Ensure knowledge transfer flows in both directions and establish protocols to guarantee knowledge transfer.
Qualifications - Required Skills
High proficiency with SQL, Excel, Adverity, Domo, Talend.
Proficiency with SQL demonstrated by:
Execute advanced SQL queries and Stored Procedures to process and automate data.
Optimize query performance, improve processes, diagnose problems.
Implement best-practices on database schemas and ETL processes using Talend ETL suite.
Experience with ad-serving platforms such as Google Campaign Manager; web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, and tag management tools such as DTM/Launch, GTM and Tealium.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with various online and offline media channels.
Prior media analytics experience/knowledge.
Greater ability to program in Python and Java.
Mediabrands does not require candidates to have a college degree.
Qualifications - Desired Skills
Bachelor\'s Degree in Statistics, Economics or related quantitative field; advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
1+ years of experience in a professional services or corporate environment, preferably an agency.
Familiarity with media mix modeling and other forms of regression-based ROI; A/B and multivariate test design.
