Position Summary
Our Orange County, CA office has an opportunity for an experienced Legal Word Processor to join the firm’s expanding practice. The Word Processor will type, edit, combine, print and store documents, such as pleadings, discovery, discovery response shells, motions, reports, forms and numerical data, from template, rough draft, corrected copy, recorded voice dictation, or previous version, using PC in a Windows environment.
Requirements
3+ years of legal document processing experience in a litigation environment
California litigation experience required
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint in a Windows environment
Experience using document management system. FileSite, WorkSite, iManage, Interwoven preferred
Knowledge of correct forms of citation using Harvard Bluebook, and proficiency generating Tables of Authorities, preferably using Best Authority
Advanced skills with the following are required:
Formatting using styles and numbering schemes
Generating Tables of Contents
Setting up and executing mail merges
Converting pdfs to text using Nuance, Omni Page Pro
Creating redlines with Workshare Compare, DeltaView
Transcription
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Excellent proofreading skills
Strong attention to detail
Polished and professional demeanor
