About the job SUMMARY Manages and directs regional/market-based McDonald's customer account support and sales activities relative to business development for our Stamford, CT and Bethesda, MD field offices.
Your tasks ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in coordination of communication between customer base and all associated internal company departments as required.
Maintain constant awareness of new foodservice equipment developments. Maintain dialogue with direct customer base (Regional, customer organizations) regarding new equipment releases and equipment obsolescence.
Maintain the highest level of interaction and customer relationships within defined marketplace.
Provide consultation services with key decision makers that help with operational efficiencies and ensure corporate compliance.
Assist the field in training events for new products and kitchen operations.
Support Projects in assigned market as SME for smallwares, print, and other equipment support and final set up in preparation for restaurant opening.
Support Deployments both regionally and nationally with expertise in ordering, equipment, operations, training, and execution in cooperation with customer's deployment SMEs.
Attend trainings, meetings, conferences, conventions as required to maintain market share and customer relationships in marketplace.
Achieve sales growth targets and market share gains.
Develop and maintain relationships with assigned key customer contacts and corporate departmental decision-makers to assure complete understanding and knowledge of customer operational and menu objectives/plans and customer political atmosphere.
Defend organization from competitors and provide feedback to appropriate management team regarding the competitive landscape.
Establish and execute regularly scheduled executive review process with both corporate senior managers and critical regional stakeholders.
Prepare and communicate monthly progress reports relative to business development, quotes, and/or summary of activities.
Coordinate and communicate results of all new product field testing and take immediate action to resolve any product performance issues that may arise during the test period.
Investigate and determine cause of customer‑initiated issues related to product functionality and/or service levels and provide timely internal and external communication of corrective actions implemented.
Serve as liaison between customer and all associated company divisions as required.
Attend and coordinate customer and industry related trade shows and conventions.
Reliable attendance is a must.
Other duties as assigned.
Extensive travel within the Field Sales Manager’s territory (>50%). Occasional travel to Franke HQ and other event sites.
Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Customer Service
– Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Sales and Marketing
– Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
High Language Skills
– Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Intermediate Mathematical Skills
– Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
High Reasoning Skills
– Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
– MS Word, MS Excel, PPT, PBS.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum one (1) year prior work experience.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Does not supervise staff.
