Job Duties
Support investment ideas across the product suite of Credit via early engagement with relevant parties including financial sponsors and company management teams. Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, including forecasting financial statements, valuation analysis, market and competitive analysis, returns analysis and unit economics. Prepare detailed investment committee memoranda outlining the considerations of a particular investment and the terms to propose. Present investment thesis to internal investment committees. Significant interactions with senior management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis. Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio on an ongoing basis and execute any upsize/amendments required. Perform quarterly valuations, assess needs for future capital, and help with business development. Research and develop expertise around various trends, themes and business models across relevant industries.
Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience in the following: conducting detailed financial analysis on individual, privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, including forecasting financial statements, valuation analysis, market and competitive analysis, returns analysis and unit economics; working with various debt and preferred equity structures and terms and applying them to individual investments; consumer retail (food and beverages, retail, auto) and natural resources (renewables and chemicals) sector experience; presenting detailed investment analyses to internal committees; and building strong relationships with investors (LPs), companies and other external key stakeholders in the eco-system.
Salary Range Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $175,000 - $200,000.
