Salary and Work Hours $90,000 – $110,000 annually.

Shift and Schedule: Mon. – Fri. (or at Manager's Discretion).

Job Type: Full‑Time.

Job Summary Gray Media is seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Political Data & Insights to own the end‑to‑end use of first‑party and third‑party data in driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and advertising performance. The candidate will develop and execute data‑enabled marketing strategies that bridge analytics, technology, and creative execution—turning insights into measurable business results for both audience and advertisers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Own the development and execution of political marketing strategies, leveraging first‑party (CRM, transactional, behavioral) and third‑party data sources. Join strategic calls with sales teams and key clients to present insights, campaign performance results, and optimization recommendations.

Manage relationships with external data providers and technology partners.

Collaborate with sales teams to identify and activate high‑value audience segments for digital advertising campaigns.

Develop and manage marketing attribution models to measure the impact of campaigns.

Partner with content teams to analyze viewer and reader engagement, optimize content placement, and enhance audience retention.

Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights to sales, marketing, and editorial leadership.

Monitor digital consumption patterns to uncover trends and opportunities for audience growth.

Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and protection laws in all analytics, targeting, and audience activation processes.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, or relevant work experience.

5+ years of experience in digital analytics, targeting, or advertiser data solutions for a media company, agency, or AdTech company.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio.

Experience with CDPs, DMPs, and DSPs for digital audience activation.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn data insights into clear, actionable strategies.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work across departments.
