Position Description The Senior Agronomist provides advanced technical leadership and strategic guidance for Complete Farmer’s agronomy programs across all operating regions. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this role sets agronomic standards, leads large-scale trials and innovation projects, and serves as the company’s primary subject-matter expert on crop science. The Senior Agronomist partners closely with Field Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation teams to ensure that every farmer in the network achieves optimal yields, sustainable practices, and consistent quality. What You’ll Do: Design and oversee agronomic strategies, best practices, and production protocols for all company-supported commodities Lead large-scale field trials and applied research to improve crop performance, soil health, and sustainability Provide high-level technical support to regional and field agronomy teams, troubleshooting complex crop and soil issues Collaborate with the Innovation team to translate research insights into practical field applications Advise on input selection, crop protection, irrigation scheduling, and climate-smart agriculture techniques Ensure all agronomy activities meet global agronomic standards and certifications (e.g., Global GAP, Organic) Monitor national and international trends in crop science and recommend adoption of new technologies or methods Establish KPIs and reporting standards for agronomy performance across all regions Represent Complete Farmer in industry forums, government consultations, and technical working groups Mentor and coach Lead and Field Agronomists, strengthening technical capacity across the organization Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, sustainability standards, and certification programs What You’ll Bring: 8+ years’ professional experience in agronomy, crop science, or related agricultural disciplines, including multi-region leadership Proven, hands-on technical expertise in agronomy, with a track record of solving complex crop and soil challenges and implementing best-practice solutions at scale Demonstrated success implementing large-scale agronomic programs and trials Strong analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving and decision making Excellent communication skills to influence growers, technical teams, and external stakeholders Ability to travel frequently to field sites and regional operations Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related field (PhD a plus) Who You Are: A visionary agronomist with a passion for innovation and sustainable agriculture A collaborative leader who builds capability and inspires technical teams Analytical and research-driven, yet pragmatic in delivering field-ready solutions Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels in a fast-growing company To join us, step into a role where your agronomic expertise drives global-standard certifications, shapes innovative crop strategies, and strengthens grower networks across every region Complete Farmer serves—advancing sustainable agriculture from the ground up.
