Description Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Continuously monitor:
Alarm systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection platforms.
Weather alerts, threat intelligence, and incident feeds.
Gather and analyze situational data from open sources and SSA systems.
Record operational details, logs, and event timelines accurately.
Coordinate notifications to first responders, SSA executives, and security contractors.
Generate Mass Emergency Notification System (MENS) messages.
Draft and disseminate ICC Notes and Incident Reports.
Assist Watch Officers in stabilizing incidents by relaying critical information.
Support after-action reporting for drills and real-world incidents (e.g., fire, terrorism, workplace violence, chemical/biological threats).
Perform data entry, log maintenance, and routine system checks.
Liaise with local, state, and federal agencies for situational awareness.
Prepare and submit daily shift reports and deficiency reports as required.
Participate in required emergency management exercises and training.
12 hours on / 12 hours off for 4 days, then 4 days off
365 days/year, 24/7 rotating shifts.
No open or unmanned shifts permitted.
No more than 12 hours per shift unless COR pre-approves emergency extension.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years experience in an operations center environment within the past 5 years.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident management tools.
Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
Public Trust eligibility.
Completion of designated FEMA courses within 90 days:
ICS-100, IS-242, IS-906, IS-1300, IS-2200.
Ongoing professional development and annual break plan refreshers.

Completed FEMA Courses ICS-100, IS-242, IS-906, IS-1300, IS-2200.

This is a full-time position in Baltimore, MD.
Salary:
Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The range for this position is 60k-70k.
