**The ideal candidate will live in the Mid-Western part of the US.** The District Sales Manager is responsible for managing and supporting a group of Retail Territory Reps within an assigned district consisting of national building product retailers. Key objectives are to achieve sales goals, ensure correct store product and sales collateral sets, manage store associate product and system selling training as required, and foster strong working relationships with store personnel to promote sales. In addition, this role will be responsible for executing defined marketing and sales promotional initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand product representation in assigned stores and driving CertainTeed branded category penetration. This is a key potential growth position offering a great opportunity to learn many aspects of the building material business Essential Functions: Enhance the safety culture of CertainTeed / Saint-Gobain by personally committing to and demonstrating safe work practices and ethics. Lead, manage, and support a team of 6-8 direct reports. Provide guidance, mentorship and support during joint store visits and meetings Ensure District Team is conducting required number store visits per day depending upon territory size/geography, covering a multi-state region focused on big box home improvement retailers with a concentration of stores. Conduct and support regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and development. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans as needed. Lead Team’s active engagement and relationship building with Pro Desks / Contractor Sales Teams / Outside Sales Teams Support new hire training and onboarding within the district. Execute defined marketing and sales promotional initiatives. Ensure proper merchandising of assigned product categories in stores. Identify opportunities to expand product representation and drive CertainTeed branded category penetration. Serve as the primary contact for field-related questions and initiatives within the district. Support product launches, new sets, and rollouts in collaboration with the Retail Sales Manager. Utilize and promote CRM to track and report team sales call activity, competitive data, and other relevant information. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. 5+ years of experience in retail sales or home improvement industry. Experience leading a team and managing sales efforts. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques. Communication skills, including online and in-person meeting management Detail oriented and deadline sensitive Results driven team player with good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing and team environments. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate in a timely critical and accurate way. Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) a plus. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $89,500 to 138,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,200 to $155,100 Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
