The Regional Director of Business Development works closely with the SVP of Sales and Marketing and both VP of Operations to grow admissions, meet budgeted census, and ensure the admission process is in accordance with established policies and procedures at all Nobis managed hospitals. The position assists in setting expectations and provides leadership to the admissions, hospital business development and clinical liaison teams at each hospital. The RDBD is responsible for overseeing, facilitating and advising on the territories’ strategic marketing plan and overall census at all Nobis managed hospitals
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 8+ years integrated marketing/ communications/strategy experience with a healthcare system
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public administration or another related field required. Master's Degree in related field preferred, but not required
Knowledge, Skillsand Ability Requirements:
Collaborates with physicians and hospital Directors of Business Development and CEO's to develop strategic initiatives that drive new business and ensure established volume targets are achieved
Partners with hospital CEOs and Directors of Business Development to develop and execute monthly/quarterly analysis of volume, payor mix, manpower need, growth opportunities, etc. Reports results on an ongoing basis to senior Nobis leadership
Develops a deep understanding of the local hospital markets, internal strengths and challenges as well as external industry and regulatory dynamics that influence success at each Nobis managed hospital.
Supports the pre-admissions function to assure that Nobis managed hospitals are responsive to the needs of the referring hospital, referral sources and patients
Collaborates with DBD's and Admission Coordinators to ensure patient flow (referral), referral management, and the admission process is effective and meeting best practice standards
Directs and mentors hospital marketing teams and work collaboratively to hire and support the Clinical Liaisons.
Provides ongoing training and support to hospital business development directors in the skills required to establish relationships with physicians, leaders and administration to understand, capture, and evaluate local promotional needs to best advise on the development of targeted and data-driven campaigns specific to increasing volume, awareness, preference and engagement.
Leads the development and provision of annual forecasting: market evolution, competitive analysis, service gap analysis, and new business opportunities for designated hospitals.
