Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. Candidates must have hands‑on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth end‑user operations.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Desktop Support Engineer Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues.

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications across user workstations.

Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist users with access to shared resources.

Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory or similar systems.

Document support activities and maintain asset inventory records for IT equipment.

Collaborate with IT teams to elevate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows/Mac environment.

Experience with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.

Pay Details $37.00 to $45.00 per hour.
