What the Day Will Look Like The Account Executive Practice Leader is primarily responsible for leading talent development and driving growth across the AE Local Practice. Accountable to the RMD to deliver retention and rollover goals for the office as well as new business from the Account Executive (AE) Local Practice. This responsibility may extend beyond direct AE reporting. By driving individual goal achievement, the AE Leader helps the office and ARS US attain aggregate business goals. Always promotes the value Aon delivers to clients, particularly through Client Promise.

Job Responsibilities

Support Account Executive's effective alignment with the Aon Leadership Model.

Educate Account Executives and Account Managers directly and by assisting with training plans in client management, risk management, insurer interface and Aon resources, processes and tools.

Help Account Executives marshal appropriate Aon resources to support retention and sales efforts and to assist clients.

Team with Sales & Marketing and drive Account Executive efforts on new and penetration sales, including collaboration with originators.

Raise AE awareness and skills to introduce all of Aon's products, services and specialty expertise.

Work closely with the Houston Market Leader and the US Energy Practice Leader to lead critical best‑practice client management efforts including Strategic Account Review, Fee Discipline and Client Return to Profitability Planning.

Skills and Experience

Typically at least 7‑10 years of appropriate insurance experience, coupled with managerial ability.

Strong project and account team management experience, and strong negotiation skills.

In‑depth working knowledge of the insurance business and clients' needs across all major lines of business.

Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Evidence of ability to become proficient in the use of Aon‑specific software tools.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; risk and insurance management or business‑related curriculum preferred.

Broker license (CPCU, CIC, or ARM) preferred.

Salary & Incentives The salary range for this position (for U.S. applicants) is $215,000 to $275,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and internal equity. The position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans for an annual discretionary bonus or production incentives in addition to base salary. Bonus and incentive amounts vary and are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
