What this job involves:
Lead and coordinate high‑level special events for Amazon’s Meetings & Events program while supervising event team members and vendor partnerships. This role serves as the primary liaison between Amazon Event Organizers and JLL’s event support services, ensuring seamless execution of complex events in high‑profile venues. You will establish policies, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly contribute to JLL’s mission of creating transformative solutions for our clients in the real estate industry.
What your day‑to‑day will look like:
Supervise and schedule Events team members and coordinate third‑party vendor activities
Lead site visits, planning meetings, and final details meetings with Amazon Event Organizers
Coordinate and execute high‑level special events as requested by Amazon Event Organizer
Establish and refine policies and procedures for event support operations
Track team progress through data metrics and create monthly progress reports
Provide prompt responses to Amazon Event Organizer requests within program guidelines
Identify opportunities for improving team communication and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3 years of event management or relevant hospitality experience
Advanced competence with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other software programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading abilities
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, evenings, and weekends as necessary
Demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities while meeting strict deadlines
Experience interpreting instructions in written, oral, and diagrammatic formats
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with budget compilation and business review metrics
Background in proposal and presentation development
Knowledge of emergency procedures and safety protocols
Experience working with high‑profile clients and senior‑level contacts
Familiarity with Amazon policies and procedures
Previous supervisory experience in hospitality or event management
Proficiency with additional software programs and database management
