Job Summary
This position performs radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. It may also perform some exams in more complex modalities. The position requires weekend coverage (Saturday 8a-6p and Sunday 8a-12p) and may include weekday shifts, often on Mondays and Fridays from 12p-8p.

Minimum Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to lift and maneuver patients with assistance as needed. Principal Accountabilities Performs radiography exams, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols: prepares patients, records vital signs, explains procedures, administers IV and contrast when necessary, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures image quality. Enters and monitors patient data accurately. Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment and assists with accreditation processes. Reports accidents, complaints, or equipment issues to management. Participates in emergency calls, weekend work, and may float to other locations as needed. May administer breath alcohol tests and urine drug screens. Performs patient registration tasks such as verifying insurance and collecting payments. Ensures safety for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all policies and standards. Supports professional growth through continuing education and mentoring. Provides compassionate, personalized care, modeling Memorial Hermann’s service standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
