About Patch

Patch is the leading hyperlocal news platform, serving communities across the United States with trusted journalism and essential local information. We are building the most effective way for local businesses and organizations to connect with their communities—through our network of newsletters, websites, and platform products. We also serve local small business customers with a portfolio of self-serve marketing tools, to help them grow their businesses. We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to design and execute strategies that drive exponential subscriber and customer growth. The Role

We’re looking for a data-driven, entrepreneurial growth marketer who thrives at the intersection of performance marketing, SEO, partnerships, and product-led growth. You’ll be responsible for building and scaling acquisition programs that grow our free email subscriber base while also fueling demand for Patch’s paid platform products. While we hire for talent over specific skills or experience, this role will require a deep understanding of the economics of growth (CAC vs. LTV), the mechanics of newsletter and app distribution and the ability to leverage both owned and paid channels. You will also identify and build cross-promotional partnerships to expand reach, and work closely with product and business development teams to create a sustainable growth flywheel. Experience building email newsletter audiences and/or marketing products to small businesses at scale is a considerable plus. Responsibilities

Acquisition & Growth Lead growth strategies across SEO, paid channels, social, referral, and app store optimization. Scale free email subscriber base through innovative campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and performance experimentation. Optimize acquisition funnels for both subscribers and paying customers, with disciplined testing frameworks. Partnerships & Business Development Develop and execute newsletter cross-promotion partnerships and other audience growth collaborations. Build strategic relationships with distribution platforms and partners to accelerate Patch’s reach. Identify business development opportunities that reinforce Patch’s growth flywheel. Analytics & Economics Own CAC, LTV, and other key growth metrics, ensuring efficiency and scalability in spend. Use data and experimentation to drive decision-making, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes. Partner with Finance and Product to forecast and track ROI of growth initiatives. Collaboration Work closely with Product, Editorial, Sales, and Engineering to ensure alignment of growth strategies with business goals. Translate growth insights into actionable recommendations across teams. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or digital marketing roles. Proven track record of scaling subscriber or user growth for a digital platform, ideally in email/newsletter or app environments. Hands-on experience with SEO, paid acquisition (search, social, display), and referral/viral loops. Strong understanding of unit economics (CAC vs. LTV) and growth forecasting. Experience in partnership development, particularly in media/newsletter cross-promotion. Analytical, comfortable with data, experimentation, and marketing automation tools. Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments. Compensation and Benefits
