Linux System Administrator The Opportunity:
On our team, you'll support the client's operations mission.
This includes the deployment, operation, administration, troubleshooting, updating, securing, and maintenance of all systems, software, and infrastructure that enable enterprise cybersecurity capabilities across the client's environment.
You'll operate, maintain, and administer existing network and system architectures, and perform network administration, including hardware, software, physical cabling, and IP address management.
As a System Administrator, you'll support a broad range of technical environments and responsibilities, including networking and security devices, circuits, automated systems, servers, client computers, applications, databases, voice systems, help‑desk support, asset and inventory management, and technical support.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with Linux or UNIX systems and the complex interoperability between Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Experience with designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server environments v8 and v9, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance
Experience with creating, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and utilizing advanced scripting in tools such as Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python to automate or simplify tasks, enhance system functionalities, and troubleshoot issues
Experience with task automation, package management, including installs and updates across geographically dispersed environments, NFTables, Firewall or IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4 or IPv6, Postfix or SMTP Relay, Linux Server Administration, Linux Server Clustering, NFSv3 or NFSv4, PXE boot, and SELinux
Ability to maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and service records
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects, including providing expert guidance and technical leadership
Ability to lead and mentor junior team members in best practices and technical challenges
Secret clearance
High school diploma or GED
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant Certification such as Security+ CE Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience with security hardening framework standards and regulations from Center for Internet Security (CIS) Control 4, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800‑53 Revision 5, and the DoD's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with Mritan Container Runtime or Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and GitLab
Experience with task automation using Ansible and RHEL Satellite, preferably Red
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve LAN and WAN connections, performance and throughput issues, and other related network problems
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
Ability to analyze development and implementation requirements, make appropriate modifications to existing systems, and prepare specifications based on customer requests
Possession of excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Possession of excellent problem‑solving skills

Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
