Deep expertise in mainframe technologies Strong analytical thinking, and a passion for mentoring and technical leadership. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM and DB2. Lead and oversee the modernization of legacy systems while ensuring business continuity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and resolve issues. Perform detailed impact analysis, develop functional specs, and contribute to high-level architecture. Guide and mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams. Ensure quality and performance through rigorous testing, debugging, and optimization. Maintain compliance with enterprise security, auditing, and data privacy standards. Required Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and mainframe utilities. Expertise in batch and online processing environments. Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, SonarQube) in mainframe pipelines. Familiarity with containerization or cloud migration strategies. Track record of modernization initiatives (e.g., API integrations, cloud enablement). Financial services, insurance, or government sector experience a plus. Benefits
