Job Location Concord, NC plant.
Job Responsibilities
Manage product design, calculations, drawings, estimating, quotes, production, delivery and installation of precast and pipe products. Assist plants with engineering design and production; and improvements to design and production processes.
Manage and oversee Engineers and CAD Departments to run efficiently.
Develop and provide information on best practices in engineering and production departments (rebar reduction, form improvements, efficiency improvements, mix designs, etc.).
Provide guidance and assistance to QC personnel.
Provide engineering and development to new and existing products using design programs such as SAP, RISA‑3D, AutoCAD, Excel, Mathcad, etc.
Job Requirements
B.Sc. in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina within 18 months of hire (or EIT with prospect of PE).
Minimum 24 months of structural design experience (concrete preferred) and 12 months of management‑related work experience. 1 year industry experience in concrete design/precast preferred.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and perform structural designs for box culverts, bridges and specialty structures.
Proficient in AutoCAD, FEA, Word, MathCAD, Excel.
Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
Hands‑on personality comfortable moving between office, plant, and field environments.
Ability to learn Oldcastle management structures and MIS system.
Job Compensation
Target salary: $100k‑$135k plus 10% annual bonus.
