Neurologist – Epilepsy Moonlighting
Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork‑Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is looking for a board‑certified/board‑eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy for weekday in‑house moonlighting in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
NewYork‑Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
is a 651‑bed academic institution affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and surrounding areas. The hospital boasts various neuroscience services, including the Carolyn E. Czap and Eugene A. Czap Alzheimer’s Program; the Multiple Sclerosis Center; the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center; the Center for Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders; and a renowned Stroke Center. It hosts nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient care for epilepsy patients, including full‑time epilepsy physician extender support.
Perform routine and ambulatory EEG services as part of the outpatient Epilepsy practice.
Cover dedicated EMU with full‑time EEG technician and continuous EEG monitoring outside the EMU.
Participate in phase‑I pre‑surgical epilepsy work‑up onsite and refer surgical cases to Weill Cornell Medicine.
Collaborate weekly with faculty from Weill Cornell Medicine through multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences.
Engage in collaborative research and use the full‑time research coordinator support.
Qualifications
Board‑certified or board‑eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Epilepsy.
Experience with inpatient and outpatient epilepsy management.
Ability to perform EEG monitoring and collaborate with research teams.
Will have an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Compensation The rate for moonlighting coverage is $150/hour (weekday coverage).
