Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Manage the preparation and execution of periodic audits, identifying any areas of concern and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Develop and maintain annual budgets, working closely with the family office principal to ensure financial goals are met. Conduct detailed financial forecasting, providing regular updates to the family office principal on projected income, expenses, and overall financial performance. Perform adhoc financial analysis as required, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Collaborate with other family office staff to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role. Experience in a family office setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in audit, budgeting, forecasting, and adhoc financial analysis. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
