Job Details

We are seeking an exceptional Frontend Engineer (Founding) to take ownership of our frontend architecture and drive the development of our patient and caregiver-facing web application. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments, is comfortable working independently, and has a strong product and user experience mindset.

● Own and evolve our React-based frontend architecture, ensuring a seamless, high-performance user experience. ● Build and optimize web applications, focusing on responsive design, performance, and accessibility. ● Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes into polished, interactive user experiences. ● Ensure the frontend is highly performant and scalable, implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. ● Implement and refine a component-based design system, enabling consistent UI patterns and streamlined development. ● Develop and maintain front-end testing strategies, ensuring reliability and smooth user interactions. ● Drive technical decision-making on frontend frameworks, libraries, and tooling to support long-term growth. ● Partner closely with backend engineers to define APIs and ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend. ● Lay the foundation for scalable frontend development, establishing best practices and setting up processes for future engineers. ● Act as a key voice in product discussions, advocating for UX improvements and frontend innovations that improve patient and caregiver experiences.

Professional Qualifications: ● Proven ability to build and scale web applications, optimizing for performance, usability, and maintainability. ● Strong command of modern frontend technologies, including React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. ● Experience shipping production web applications, ensuring they are fast, responsive, and accessible (no mobile app development required). ● Instincts for UI/UX best practices, able to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces. ● Comfortable navigating and improving existing codebases, refactoring for scalability and efficiency. ● Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar). ● Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks, ensuring smooth, reliable user interactions (Jest, Cypress, or similar). ● A bias for action—thrives in fast-moving, early-stage environments with high ownership and autonomy.

Personal Characteristics: ● Mission-Driven & Impact-Oriented – Passionate about improving patient and caregiver experiences through technology. ● Autonomous & Self-Starter – Thrives in early-stage environments with high ownership and low structure. ● Product-Minded & UX-Focused – Cares deeply about building intuitive, delightful user experiences. ● Detail-Oriented & Quality-Focused – Committed to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. ● Collaborative & Communicative – Works well across engineering, product, and design teams. ● Adaptable & Growth-Minded – Open to learning and evolving as the company scales.
