We are seeking a proactive and experienced Product Owner to join our Software Technology Solutions R&D team based in San Diego or remotely with occasional travel. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving and leading the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our software development platform. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, align features with measurable outcomes, and collaborate across clinical, legal, regulatory, and customer support functions to ensure product readiness and regular releases.
Location: San Diego, CA (remote possible with occasional travel). Salary: $80,600.00–$133,000.00 per year.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners to understand customer and market requirements.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog, developing detailed requirements, user stories, and tasks.
Define and document feature requirements, test and validate new releases with beta customers, and ensure rapid issue triage and remediation.
Coordinate activities across the release train, aligning product strategy with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Provide product vision and direction to the scrum team throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop crisp product and feature scope documents that drive product specifications and architecture.
Ensure efficient workflow and alignment with product vision and business value through effective backlog management.
Maintain stakeholder communication by keeping clients and collaborators informed on product status and leading product release plans.
Lead active leadership in mitigating impediments, ensuring governance for change management, and managing dependencies to facilitate successful completion of release and sprint goals.
Required Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related software field.
3+ years of experience as Product Owner or in related roles.
3+ years of experience working with PaaS or SaaS products.
Strong understanding of cloud computing, APIs, and developer tools.
Familiarity with product‑management tools such as Aha! and Jira.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work effectively in team settings.
Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
Experience with Agile practices and principles.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Creative thinking with a focus on product improvement.
Understanding of product feature prioritization.
Involvement in product roadmap development.
Preferred Skills / Experience
Master’s degree preferred.
