Job Description
About Dutch
Dutch is on a mission to make veterinary care more accessible and affordable for pet parents across the country. As the leading virtual care provider able to diagnose, prescribe, and deliver treatment all from home, we’re helping pets live happier, healthier lives — and giving their humans peace of mind.

We have world-class investors in Forerunner Ventures and Eclipse Venture Capital, a massively growing business with strong fundamentals, and an experienced team who have built successful startups from the ground up (Hims, Rothy’s, Reformation) as well as helped grow successful enterprises (Google, Walmart). Dutch has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, and Modern Retail.

We’re a small, data-driven team that thrives on solving complex problems, testing ideas quickly, and using insights to drive real results. If you’re excited to work at the intersection of product, operations, and finance — and care about making a meaningful impact for pets and their people — we’d love to meet you.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to be the analytical backbone for our Product, Operations, and Finance teams. This person will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that help us optimize business performance, streamline operations, and enhance product experiences.

The ideal candidate is both technical and collaborative — equally comfortable writing SQL queries as they are guiding stakeholders toward data-informed decisions. You’ll help define metrics, design reporting infrastructure, and proactively surface insights that drive measurable business outcomes. You’re approachable, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and know how to balance long-term projects with quick-turn ad hoc requests.

Location
Remote — must be able to work core hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone (PT)

What You'll Do
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Finance to identify analytical needs, define key metrics, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into performance trends, operational efficiency, and financial health using tools like Sigma and Amplitude.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across product usage, fulfillment operations, and revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with Product to evaluate feature adoption, retention, and engagement.
  • Support Finance and Operations with cost and margin analyses, and insights that improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure data integrity across key systems, working with data engineering to optimize pipelines and models for analytical consumption.
  • Clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences — making complex data understandable, actionable, and relevant.
  • Manage competing priorities with confidence, responding quickly and thoughtfully to ad hoc analytical requests.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or product analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one BI/visualization tool (Tableau, Sigma, Looker, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reports that influence product, operational, or financial decisions.
  • Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and translating them into digestible insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you can simplify complex data and build trust with cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A bias toward action — you’re resourceful, curious, and thrive on problem-solving.

Dutch's Guiding Principles
  • Pets First – business and medical decisions are always guided by the pet’s best interest. We’ll never compromise on pet health and we’re all here because we care about their well-being
  • Agile Like a Cat – We have a bias toward swift action, while maintaining quality and accuracy. For us, that means being able to turn on a dime, like a cat, analyze our options – even ones that may not be on the table – then execute without perfection getting in the wayCreativity is our Catnip –
  • Creativity feeds us and helps us push boundaries to always find better solutions, making the complex more accessible and easier to understand
  • Be the Human Your Dog Thinks You Are – Be kind, show care for your colleagues, and even if you’re an expert - give others context, reinforce the positive, and help them understand.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
