Siteworks is hiring for the position of heavy equipment operator. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience and needs to be proficient on multiple types of equipment including bulldozers, excavators, front-end loader, backhoe, and skid steer. Efficient operation of a motor grader is also highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner to perform daily tasks which include grading, digging trenches for installation of utilities and storm drainage, and loading trucks. Knowledge of proper safety precautions and benching techniques are required. Equipment operators are responsible for fueling, greasing, and periodic maintenance of equipment. Heavy equipment operators will be expected to assist utility and storm crews when necessary.

Required Skills

• 2+ years experience operating heavy equipment
• Practice safety when operating equipment
• Perform maintenance tasks to take care of equipment
• Have reliable transportation to work everyday
• Be willing to work overtime hours when needed, including nights and weekends occasionally
• Be able to grade for curb, concrete, and asphalt
• Be able to dig efficiently for installation of utilities and storm drainage
• Be able to read blueprints and grade stakes
• Operation of transit laser level is a plus

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and performance.
