The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands‑on leader who is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for receipt, shipment and storage in our Indianapolis, IN Warehouse.
This is 3rd shift Sunday thru Thursday 11:00 pm to 7 AM.
What you will do
- Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Determine space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lay out position of shipment.
- Inspect loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify appropriate personnel for repair.
- Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of team members.
- Maintain morale among team members and resolve grievances.
- Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
- Adjust errors and complaints.
- Participate in inventory record accuracy program.
- Maintain area in accordance with all internal and external regulatory guidelines, i.e., OSHA, FDA, PDA, DOT, etc.
- Meet respective shift(s) goals for areas of accountability to include safety, quality, cost, customer service, and people development.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Directly supervise 2 or more employees in the warehouse area. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Directly supervise respective shift(s) of employees in the warehouse area. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, recognition, corrective action, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Show ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Show ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Show ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

What you bring to the table (Must have)
- Bachelor's Degree; a minimum of 1 year of applicable warehouse supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience is required.
- Experience with OSHA, FDA, PDA, DOT, etc.

- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred in the CPG industry
- Forklift Certification
Compensation and Benefits
The target base salary range for this full‑time, salaried position is between $55,200 and $79,400. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
