This role is a hands‑on supervisory position on the 2nd shift, where the Production Supervisor collaborates with the Production Manager and acts as a technician. The primary responsibilities include directing job assignments, providing technical hands‑on leadership to production staff, and training new and existing employees. The position also supports meeting production schedules, maintaining safety and quality standards, and addressing employee conduct and performance issues in alignment with Resonetics policies.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute the production schedule, supervising and directing Production Team Leaders and Laser Operators to ensure minimal downtime and timely completion of scheduled activities.
Conduct safety and orientation training with new employees.
Oversee and maintain safety practices in accordance with company policies.
Supervise and assist in the training of production processes, providing consistent coaching and communication of shift activity and equipment changes.
Monitor production efficiency and quality, review daily goals, and identify root causes when goals are not achieved.
Assist in running and troubleshooting production jobs.
Work closely with peers to foster good team working relationships and cross‑shift collaboration.
Review production records for completeness and accuracy.
Prepare product shipments, reviewing internal material travelers and related documents before authorization.
Maintain inventory and replenish all production supplies.
Control and organize timesheets for production personnel.
Conduct performance appraisals and report findings to senior management.
Manage employee conduct or performance problems in accordance with Resonetics policies, consulting Human Resources as needed.
Collaborate with Quality to design, implement, and monitor quality awareness and improvement programs.
Required Qualifications
Manufacturing experience of 4+ years or equivalent.
Previous supervisory experience.
Hands‑on experience driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen events, time studies, waste reduction (seven wastes), and process mapping (e.g., spaghetti diagrams). Must be able to quantify the impact of improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate clearly to both management and staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Access, or other data‑tracking systems.
Strong decision‑making and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and creatively.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ISO 13485‑regulated environments and a solid understanding of departmental procedures to ensure compliance and uphold standards consistently.
Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $31.00 to $38.00 per hour. For temp, temp‑to‑hire, and regular full‑time positions, our company policy is that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
