Job Summary:
A forklift operator moves materials in warehouses using powered industrial trucks. They load and unload goods, maintain a safe work area, and follow company policies. Duties include equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and keeping inventory records. Operators must prioritize safety and efficiency in all tasks.
Summary of essential job functions:
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials Assist with shop operations, including inventory management and organization Ensure safe handling and transportation of equipment and supplies Maintain accurate records of moved items Collaborate with team members to coordinate efficient relocation processes Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on forklifts Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid forklift certification 2+ years experience operating forklifts Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
