Travel Job Duties Perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies, including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler, and strain imaging. Conduct transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms following established departmental protocols. Analyze and document detailed measurements and findings for cardiologist interpretation. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and accurate diagnostic results. Review patient medical history, laboratory data, and imaging results to assist in diagnostic evaluation. Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic procedures while ensuring comfort and safety. Adhere to departmental and hospital policies, including infection control and patient privacy standards. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited
Cardiac or Cardiovascular Sonography
program. Active certification as
RDCS
(Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS
or
RCS
(Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI. Current
BLS
certification through the
American Heart Association (AHA)
. Illinois state license
(must be active and in hand prior to start). Minimum
1 year of direct echocardiography experience
in a hospital or clinical environment. Demonstrated proficiency performing TTE, TEE, and stress echocardiograms. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
