Base Pay Range $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Overall Purpose The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and improve the manufacturing process by studying Hydraflow’s products and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities Evaluate the manufacturing process by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operators Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Maintain excellent team-oriented working relationships among all Hydraflow employees Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines and behaviors Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions Adhere to 5S Standards Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality and safety standards Other Duties Other duties based on the needs of the Machine Shop Manager Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field 2-5 years of applicable experience Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools Experience with machining and inspection equipment Ability to read/interpret blueprints Ability to interact with all levels of the organization Excellent organizational and computer skills CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred CAD/CAM Mastercam experience preferred Knowledge and experience with AS9100 Strong attention to detail Fluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand) Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) Physical Demands While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to: Sit Use hands and fingers to handle, type or feel Reach with hands and arms Speak or hear While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to: Stand Walk Additional Notes Must be a U.S. Person based on ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
