Job Description Reporting to the CFO, the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will play a critical leadership role in Sprinklr’s finance function and own all accounting capabilities, including accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, IT automation, tax, regulatory compliance, treasury/cash management, revenue accounting, quote‑to‑cash, shared services, commissions, and procurement.
As the CAO, you will partner closely with the CFO, CEO, business unit leaders, and other executives to provide responsive counsel, actionable insights, and high‑quality information that drives shareholder value. You will lead a globally distributed team of 70+ and scale the accounting operations to support Sprinklr’s rapid growth.
Major Responsibilities
Serve as the key business partner for all accounting‑related matters to the Board of Directors, Investors, Executive Team, Business Partners, and External Auditors.
Lead global accounting practices—payroll, technical accounting, revenue accounting, consolidations, international accounting, operational accounting, treasury, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
Support cash management, set related policies, improve cash forecasting, and maximize daily and monthly cash flow while minimizing funding requirements.
Prepare all SEC filings (10‑K, 10‑Q, proxy, 8‑K) and ensure financial reports meet Board, auditor, and investor requirements and comply with regulatory and global reporting requirements.
Advise management on changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact operations and reporting, staying abreast of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC developments.
Develop a controlled environment for a publicly traded company, maintaining compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
Leverage IT tools and systems to automate and streamline accounting workflows for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness across purchasing and shared services.
Drive efficiencies across end‑to‑end business processes, systems, and financial controls to support Sprinklr’s growth, leading global expansion initiatives.
Create functional strategies, budgets, policies, and procedures to achieve expected results.
Act as the executive accounting sponsor for cross‑functional projects, including M&A, due diligence, and transaction support.
Ensure foreign statutory audits and related filings are completed by applicable law.
Build a best‑in‑class accounting department and benchmark against industry peers.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified
20+ years in accounting with 7+ years in an executive leadership role within a high‑growth SaaS or technology business; experience managing finance or accounting functions at scale (>$1B in revenue).
Significant experience with multinational public accounting firms and deep international accounting, statutory audits, GAAP adjustments, and global consolidations.
Completed financial system implementations and integrations; systems‑savvy with streamlining manual processes and reducing closing cycles.
Hands‑on experience managing treasury, global cash optimization, and lender relationships.
Proven global leadership skills, building and developing high‑performance teams of 70+ across multiple disciplines; capable of driving organizational and cultural change.
Executive presence with strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, auditors, and staff.
Acquisition and integration experience, including purchase accounting, goodwill valuation, third‑party valuation advisors, and experience with NetSuite.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field; CPA/CMA/CIA required, MBA preferred.
