On this mixed gender unit, you will work with patients with a wide range psychiatric diagnoses and co-morbidity. Our goal is to maximize the patient’s potential for self-care, independence and quality of life. Now, you have the opportunity to join us.This is a full time, 40hrs weekly three 12 hours day/evenings (7:00 am -11:30 pm including additional 8hrs shift bi-weekly) and rotating weekend (Sat+Sun) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital /Westchester Behavioral Health.**Preferred Criteria*** At least one year of RN experience and/or capstone or a senior clinical rotation with a preceptor* Nursing Certification/s**Required Criteria*** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing* Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)* BCLS certification (AHA)* Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science* Knowledge of current health care environment* Knowledge of customer service principles* Knowledge of effective interpersonal communication skills* Knowledge of use of computer applications* Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care* New Grads must complete Nurse Residency ProgramJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
