Job Overview
Mass General Brigham, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to patient care, research, teaching, and community service, is seeking a Cleaner for a hospital or other healthcare facility.
Job Summary Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
Essential Functions
Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets
Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass
Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas
Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures as assigned; replenishes restroom supplies as needed
Picks up debris around building
Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines
Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities
Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities
Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Experience : 2–3 years working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Good communication and comprehension skills
