Summary The Assessment Director acts as a liaison between Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Type Commander (TYCOM) Maintenance Staffs, Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) and other CMP stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Assessment Directors serve as the RMC Enterprise Project Team Position Specific SME. Lead the delivery of CNRMC WFD PT Specific courses IAW developed curriculum across the RMC Enterprise as required by the CNRMC WFD LRTP. Lead instructors are expected to adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs using a variety of instructional strategies to meet different learning styles.
Manage the execution of assessment visits and CMP assessment events.
Provide management of Government engineers and technicians, military personnel, contractors, data entry personnel, and logisticians in support of assessment visits.
Augment/assist the Project Team in CMP assessment accomplishment, scheduling, and coordination.
Update the Project Team on progress in meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects and tasks, and ensure all team members are aware of and participate in planning for achievement of team goals and objectives.
Manage dedicated Visit Support Team (VST) performing logistics validation, data entry, and data collection support functions.
Utilize data provided by the Fleet Technical Assist (RMC or Warfare Center) personnel to assist the Maintenance Team in documenting, completing, and closing CMP assessment requirements.
Develop root cause analysis and recommended action reports.
Act as an advisor to other commands and ships on matters pertaining to ship availability advance planning, assessments, and program management techniques including operation, test, repair, and maintenance engineering.
Oversees execution of assessments in preparation for deployment.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience with Navy Surface or Submarine Ship Repair and Modernization
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience with Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with the systems being assessed, the submarine community, and ideally the TSRP instruction
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Minimum ten (10) years of experience gained because of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in RMC Operations
Sound interpersonal skills needed to interface, coordinate with company personnel, customers, and outside contacts
Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail
Advanced time management and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens
Pay Range The pay range for this role is $32.30 to $35.90 Per Hour.
