Finatal
CFO | PE-Backed Facility Services | Chicago
Finatal is partnering with a private equity sponsor to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a $500m revenue facility services business - a national leader delivering mission-critical outsourced solutions to blue-chip clients across 500+ sites.
This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a seasoned PE-backed CFO to lead finance in a complex, people-intensive environment. The incoming CFO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and COO, owning financial performance across a dispersed, largely hourly workforce where operational detail drives margin and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strengthen and professionalize the finance function - upgrading systems, processes, and reporting to deliver scale and transparency.
Lead FP&A, budgeting, and site-level performance management with a deep understanding of labor, cost, and productivity dynamics.
Drive M&A execution and integration activity, preparing the business for a future transaction and the rigor of sponsor-level reporting.
Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the business's financial stability and to optimize capital allocation.
Collaborate with the executive team and sponsor to develop short- and long-term financial strategy aligned with the investment thesis.
Ability to be a strategic partner to CEO/COO/PE.
Requirements
Proven success as CFO in a PE-backed, labor-intensive or multi-site services business.
A track record of driving performance improvement and preparing for exit.
Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to work closely across operational teams.
Based in Chicago, open to relocation or regular travel.
