Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the DGO Business Data Architecture in the GBM ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining data lineage for GBM applications. The Data Lineage Specialist is also responsible to understand current-state architecture of GBM applications and identify suitable metadata solutions to meet the bank’s regulatory and business needs.

Manage the processes around metadata repositories (data dictionary, business glossary) and data classification process (identification of sensitive data).

Prepare regulatory required data lineage documentation and support Internal Audit reviews.

Contribute to adherence and enforcement of the Data Policy and the Data Governance Playbook.

Identify and utilize data management capabilities including Metadata Management and implementing data lineage with existing toolset. Participate in the definition of future state tools.

Build and manage an automated lineage process to capture lineage for GBM Finance Regulatory reports from all authorized source systems to reports’ line‑items to address all U.S. Fed regulatory requirements.

Define and document data lineage standards and procedures and document the design process for automated and manual lineage processes.

Build business‑centric data lineage processes to address impact analysis and root‑cause analysis.

Make lineage platforms more business friendly to assist application users, application development teams and application support teams.

Understand how the bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.

Implement, maintain, and support data lineage for U.S. Finance, Trade Surveillance, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, GBM Trade Central, and GBM Client Central domains.

Champion a high‑performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision and values, and managing succession and development planning.

Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

What You’ll Bring

Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Global Banking and Markets experience or Capital Markets experience.

Experience in data modeling, business glossary, data lineage, data integration and data quality rules.

Knowledge of regulatory reports, Hadoop, and reporting tools such as Axiom, Cognos and Power BI.

Knowledge of IGC and Collibra.
