Job Overview
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician‑led, 650+ provider multi‑specialty group seeking a full‑time BC/BE Neurologist for an inpatient, consultative Neurohospitalist role at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa. The position involves caring for stroke and general neurology patients at a Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 (Primary) Stroke Center and is part of a system‑wide Comprehensive Program based at Boise SARMC.
Nampa Hospital is a 106‑bed (expanding to 224 beds) high‑acuity community hospital with a current run rate of 11 strokes and 30‑35 DRGs a month. The role works closely with intensivists, hospitalists and emergency physicians. Stationed at a Level III Trauma Center with Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology and Trauma, the schedule is a 5‑day work week, 7 am‑4 pm shift coverage with stroke call during regular shift hours. No weekend or night call.
Support Services Well‑established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neurology program located in Boise, tele‑stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists, stroke coordinators, interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgeon service that includes biplane angiography, MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4‑vessel angiography and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures. Nampa utilizes Boise SARMC for triage and escalated services.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency‑training program in Neurology
Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular or other a plus
Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus and affiliated hospitals as needed
Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
