Job Description: The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co‑op) education that lasts up to 6 months and includes one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long‑term goals.

The Screening & Compound Profiling group at our Research Laboratories in Rahway, NJ is seeking a dedicated and innovative Co‑op candidate. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong academic credentials, effective communication skills, proven ability to work collaboratively, and prior experience in cell biology and assay development. The co‑op will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to advance the development of a scalable three‑dimensional (3D) organoid model for chemo‑genetic screening. This initiative aims to evaluate translational models and systematically connect traditional in vitro assays with more complex in vivo systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and scale‑up 3D organoid model for chemo‑genetic screening.

Implement screening and automation protocols and assess compound efficacy and toxicity in physiologically relevant 3D systems.

Apply CRISPR technologies for genetic validation in 3D model systems.

Innovate and advance screening technologies by contributing to the development of new methodologies and technologies for compound profiling and genetic screening.

Collaborate across research teams and share expertise and results to drive project goals.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program in biological sciences or bioengineering.

Candidates must be available for a 6‑month period starting at the beginning of 2026.

Candidates must be available to work full time on site in Rahway, NJ.

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates should have basic knowledge in cell biology and prior experience in mammalian cell culture.

Candidates should have experience in developing cellular assays, preferably using 3D cellular models.

Candidates should have experience in designing and implementing CRISPR methodologies for genetic validation studies.

Candidates should work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others.

Candidates should have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience in high throughput screening and automation.

Experience in conducting small molecule screens in 3D cellular models.

Salary Range:

$39,600.00 – $105,500.00 USD

Friday is designated as a remote‑working day, unless business‑critical tasks require an on‑site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to field‑based, facility‑based, or research‑based positions that require daily in‑person attendance.
