Job Title: Material Handler Floorperson
Job Description
As a Material Handler Floorperson, you will place and retrieve products from designated areas using forklifts and other material handling equipment to meet production and customer needs. You will prepare materials for production by identifying, mixing, measuring, weighing, marking, labeling, counting, blending, tracking, calculating shot weight, recording, inspecting, verifying, packaging, and palletizing a wide variety of products or materials. Additionally, you will operate dryers at correct temperatures to prepare raw materials and ensure the correct moisture levels using a moisture analyzer. Maintaining the cleanliness of material handling equipment is essential to prevent contamination. You will also periodically check forklifts and other equipment for proper operation and may perform routine maintenance and cleaning. The role demands a commitment to quality and the flexibility to modify your work schedule and duties to accommodate company needs.
Responsibilities
Place and retrieve products from designated areas using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Prepare materials for production by identifying which materials are needed and mixing them to job specifications.
Measure, weigh, mark, label, count, blend, track, calculate shot weight, record, inspect, verify, package, and palletize products or materials.
Operate dryers at the correct temperatures to prepare raw materials and ensure correct moisture levels.
Maintain cleanliness of material handling equipment to prevent contamination.
Check forklifts and other equipment periodically for proper operation and perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
Resolve unusual operating conditions and modify work schedule and duties as needed.
Essential Skills
Materials handling experience
Basic computer and math skills
Six months of forklift experience
Ability to read and understand English language work instructions
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: One year forklift experience in a warehouse setting
Ability to manually lift and move products up to 55 lbs.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, carrying, crouching, bending, and climbing ladders and stairs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.75/hr.
