It is a great place to live with minimal traffic and a low-cost of living generally. Killeen has a population of 160,000 and is ranked 101st in the best places to live. Killeen has an airport and easy access to Interstate highways. The university is also about a three-hour drive from Dallas, three and a half to Houston, and two to San Antonio, thus quick access to three major metropolitan areas. Ft. Hood a major military base is located in Killeen and significant health care and a VA Hospital are located in nearby Temple.The successful candidate will primarily teach doctoral-level research and dissertation courses, provide mentorship to doctoral students, and contribute to the department’s research and service missions. This role requires a strong record of scholarship and experience in chairing dissertation committees.***Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.*****Responsibilities:*** Teach doctoral-level courses in research methods, advanced research design, and dissertation supervision.* Chair and serve on doctoral dissertation committees, providing guidance and mentorship to students throughout the research and writing process.* Maintain an active program of scholarly research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national/international conferences.* Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and program development.* Provide administrative leadership of the new Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership or a closely related field.* Demonstrated record of scholarship with publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or other recognized scholarly venues.* Significant experience teaching at the doctoral level, including research and dissertation courses.* Proven experience chairing doctoral dissertation committees to successful completion.* Strong commitment to mentoring doctoral students.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.* Ability to contribute to departmental service and governance.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience leading a doctorate program.* Record of securing external funding for research.* Experience with online or hybrid doctoral instruction.**Salary:** Commensurate**Hours:** Faculty hours; M-F; hours may vary by assignment**To Apply:**Please apply directly on our .
