Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) and Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) seek multiple community–based medical oncologists that see both oncology and hematology patients. Responsible for community outpatient clinic visits and oversight of infusion. Expected to cover local hospital inpatients.

COMPENSATION:

Highly competitive financial package including productivity, quality, and sign on bonuses, relocation, loan forgiveness, pension plan, 403/457 plans, PTO, CME time

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will offer a proven background focused on program growth combined with experience in managing oncology and hematology patients. This individual will collaborate with Northside physicians and clinicians to create and maintain a culture of patient centeredness – emphasizing quality, safety and efficiency while actively promoting NHCI’s multidisciplinary approach to patient care as a local, regional and national leader in innovation and collaboration.

Over the past decade, Northside has established a reputation of excellence in oncology. Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) has become one of the largest and most respected providers of cancer care in the Southeast with over

new cancer cases in 2024 and services provided at over 55+ locations. NHCI is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as an Integrated Network Cancer Program and is recognized for providing high quality, comprehensive cancer care including screening, diagnosis, research, treatment, and support services. In 2014, NHCI was awarded a grant, as one of only 34 community sites nationwide, to lead a National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Program (NCORP). The Georgia NCORP is dedicated to providing patients throughout the state with access to clinical trials while remaining in their local community.

GEORGIA CANCER SPECIALISTS (GCS) is a practice within the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. There are 27 locations across one-third of the state of Georgia and a network of 48 medical oncologists. Each clinic has an oncology trained pharmacist, along with support from social workers, oncology dietitians, genetic counselors, research and financial councilors.
