Sr Export Compliance Officer

As a Sr. Export Compliance Officer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for drafting, preparing, and reviewing a high volume of export license applications, collaborating with the broader Licensing team on best practices, metrics, and internal reporting. You will manage OCR-EASE recordkeeping for complex export authorizations, provide training to Export Compliance Officers, Authorization Owners, and business managers, and support the development of metrics and KPIs to report turnaround times to leadership. Additionally, you will develop, review, and implement comprehensive export compliance procedures and forms to ensure the company's adherence to export laws and regulations. You will work closely with various functions and businesses to ensure export compliance requirements are integrated into their processes, communicate procedural changes via email and training, and support the Export Compliance investigations team in resolving compliance issues. You will also assist with export-related audits, including facilitating data-gathering requests.
You will report directly to our Export Compliance Manager, and you'll work out of our
Phoenix, AZ & Clearwater, FL
locations on a
Hybrid
work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft and prepare export license applications
Conduct reviews of export applications
Release orders against approved export licenses
Develop, edit, communicate procedures and related forms
Assist with training and training development
Provide guidance on export regulations
Compliance resolution
Communicate clearly with business and functional personnel on export-related matters

YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 2 years in export compliance
Knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
U.S. Person status as defined by the ITAR
Experience with SAP / GTS or other ERP systems and related export compliance modules

Bachelor's Degree
Six Sigma and process improvement knowledge
Experience in drafting procedures, forms, reports, contracts, agreements, licenses, or presentations
Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated
Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills a plus
Experience working in a compliance-related role, especially one involving export compliance
Experience with MS Office
Experience with developing or using digital tools
Master's degree or juris doctorate a plus
