Responsible for the quality and consistency of information in the association’s management system (AMS), the data administrator is critical to operations at American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA). They maintain accurate membership information and serve as the lead for online registration, creation, testing, usage and reporting for major meetings. They also support the planning and execution of virtual, hybrid and in-person major meetings, off-site committee meetings and special events.

Essential Job Functions Membership Data Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate membership records in the association management system (AMS) -- re:Members AMS (formerly Impexium).

Conduct regular data audits for consistency, accuracy, and completeness, identifying and correcting errors as needed.

Review and approve all database records created via the association’s website to ensure accuracy and proper setup.

Assist with review and testing during association’s database software updates.

Develop custom reports.

Conduct onboarding and staff training on the AMS.

Meeting Registration & Support

Assist with the planning, marketing and execution of AF&PA’s virtual, hybrid and in-person conferences, meetings and special events.

Program and test online registration for AF&PA’s major meetings, provide registration and accounting reports, review all registration data and resolve registration issues.

Assist with programming of event-related products, such as sponsorship.

Track, report and reconcile event revenue for annual conference

Create/update database lists for use in online registration, marketing and mailings.

Manage meeting-related print projects (badges, lanyards, etc.) with multiple outside vendors.

Execute other membership and meetings duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position is expected to be between $67,000-$72,000. This is a good-faith estimate based on market data for comparable positions and the current budgeted amount for this role. Factors to be considered when determining the salary of the selected candidate include relevant skills, experience and knowledge, and the alignment of these qualities with those of existing staff.

Location We are located on 13th Street, NW between F and G, (directly above Metro Station). Our office is hybrid, which includes up to two days of remote work.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a trade association, training or equivalent combination of both required.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

3+ years of experience with re:Members AMS (formerly Impexium) or similar association software platform or equivalent CRM platform

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Strong analytical skills and understanding of database design, process flows, scenario testing and data mining as well as excellent written and verbal communication.

Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion with limited supervision

Ability to grasp new tasks quickly.

Ability to interact in a diplomatic manner with members and staff, as well as having a strong penchant for collaboration and teamwork.

Willingness and ability to assist in projects outside of job description.

Ability to work in-person in Washington, DC office at least 3 days per week.
