What We’re Doing As part of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems business area, our team supports multiple software applications in the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) Enterprise Software (JES) suite. JES unlocks the full capability of the weapon system with secure, streamline, machine-to-machine interfaces that diminish human error while keeping the operator in the loop.

The Work As a Systems Administrator on the JES Program, you will:

Work in a Kanban environment providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of various Information Technology (IT) systems, including networking equipment

Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices

Patch and harden Windows and Linux (Red Hat) and networking systems with Security personnel to protect against Cyber Threats

Please Note:

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

This position is based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and requires daily on-site support.

Basic Qualifications

An Active Final secret clearance is required

Extensive familiarity with system administration for Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems

Proven ability to install, secure (harden), and troubleshoot both RHEL and Windows environments (both bare‑metal and virtual machines)

Experience performing RHEL system patching and updates

Proficiency in automation and scripting using tools like Python, Bash, and Ansible

Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper‑V

Working knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, etc.)

Desired Skills

Ability to obtain an SCI security clearance

CompTIA Security+ Certification

CompTIA Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator Certification

Familiarity with system monitoring and administration tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk) troubleshooting techniques and procedures

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment

Broad understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.)

Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Strong oral and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration

Other Important Information You Should Know

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
