Our sales traders, IT specialists, strategists and analysts are assisted by a full suite of risk and control functions as well as some of the latest technologies. The Trading Strategy team is responsible for creating and publishing short-term dedicated market commentary and trading ideas designed for our institutional trading clients with reference to our proprietary quant model. Joining the team as a junior analyst you would be working alongside and supporting your colleagues by carrying out macro-level analysis as well as assisting with the production and monitoring of our regular trading strategy publications, market reports, quant/technical analysis and client presentations. Your role
Conducting short-term market analysis and contributing to English-language trading strategy publications tailored for our global institutional clients. Collaborating with colleagues to generate actionable short-term ideas and themes in equity and macro markets. Supporting the quantitative team in developing new tools, maintaining existing ones, generating strategy/signal ideas, and running backtests. Providing in-depth analysis and responding to ad hoc requests for market information. Actively participating in daily trading meetings, regularly presenting and sharing relevant market insights. Staying informed about financial markets and the bank’s investment views, while ensuring disciplined follow-up on trading recommendations. Managing the production, publishing, compliance, and administrative tasks associated with the desk’s activities. Your profile
Diploma in quantitative finance / financial engineering or equivalent. 2 to 4 years of experience in the financial industry, ideally in a similar role. Strong knowledge of macro finance and equity/macro markets, with a proven ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Fluent in English and French, with exceptional English writing skills. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering under tight deadlines. Strong team player with a proactive mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively under pressure. Proficiency in R and/or Python programming, as well as MS Office (including Excel VBA). Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or FactSet is a strong asset. Currently residing in Switzerland or willing to relocate. Note
