Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale K-12 construction projects for a Texas based and nationally respected general contractor in Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of K-12 construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and school district representatives. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Texas Education Agency (TEA) standards. Oversee procurement, contract negotiations, and change order management. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, including assistant PMs and superintendents. Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. Prepare and present progress reports to clients and executive leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years managing K-12 projects over $80M. Strong understanding of Texas school construction standards and procurement processes. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera). Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
