PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $114,300.00-$139,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $88,700.00 - $165,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC.
If youre located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
What Youll Do
Design & Develop Solutions: Build enterprise-class applications by writing efficient, maintainable, and scalable code using .NET, PowerShell, SQL, and other tools within the Microsoft ecosystem. Automate & Optimize: Improve operational efficiency through automation and scripting, enabling our teams to do more with less and enhance member experience. Mentor & Collaborate: Guide junior developers through code reviews and support their growth. Collaborate cross-functionally with analysts, architects, tech leads, and business partners. Engineer Resilience: Contribute to the design of systems that are highly available, secure, and scalable. Participate in production deployments, troubleshoot real-world issues, and be ready to jump in if challenges arise. Champion Best Practices: Ensure code quality, security, and performance by leveraging SOLID principles, TDD, static code analysis, and modern Git workflows. Contribute to the Big Picture: Participate in conversations with architects and tech leaders to shape the technology roadmap for the team and beyond.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of experience designing software and writing production-ready code in a team environment. Proficiency in .NET, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and SQL. Experience with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and scalable solution delivery. Familiarity with Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity. Proficiency in writing YAML for build/deployment pipelines. Experience using git and workflows like Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development. Test Driven Development (TDD) experience, including unit testing. Relational and non-relational data modeling. Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and secure, regulated settings (e.g., finance, healthcare). Demonstrated ability to remain current with technologies through hands-on experience or continuous learning.
Desired Qualifications
Azure certifications or training. Experience with Power Automate or ServiceNow. Familiarity with Open Source (OSS) systems like Linux and bash. Understanding of infrastructure concepts (networking, firewalls, virtual servers). Use of static code analysis tools to detect secure coding flaws. Background in financial services, healthcare, or another regulated industry. Demonstrated use of AI tools or automation to improve team productivity.
