The Director of Product Management will join the leadership of the Photonics group and contribute to our mission to transform and lead optical connectivity for datacenters and AI systems. The group works with a broad customer base, as well as Intel internal system platform teams. In this role, the successful candidate will assume product management responsibility for our main product lines: Chipsets for Datacenter Networking and optical I/O chiplets for co-packaging. The position reports to the General Manager of the Photonics business. Responsibilities Lead product strategy and roadmap Define products and requirements; initiate product development projects and build business cases, including cost targets Manage product requirements throughout the lifecycle; prioritize calls and trade-offs, derivative products, and changes until End-of-Life Build strong customer relationships with key technical and commercial teams; understand customer requirements and value drivers Lead and support Business Development and design-win efforts Forecast revenue and demand for financial and operational planning, including ramp-up and EOL planning Conduct market and competitive analysis Contribute to long-term IP roadmap and investment strategies Develop value-added relationships with ecosystem partners and strategic vendors Represent Intel Silicon Photonics at industry events as speaker or panelist; serve as primary interface to Market Research organizations Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to customer technical and commercial teams, executives, and at industry conferences Proven track record as Product Line Manager Broad technical understanding of photonics and interconnect technologies Demonstrated leadership and ability to rally cross-functional teams Strong business acumen and customer-first mindset Understanding of data center networking market Familiarity with applicable standards and MSAs for optical networking Qualifications: MS degree in Photonics or related field Minimum of 10 years experience in optical components or networking Job Type: Experienced Hire Shift: Shift 1 (United States of America) Primary Location: US, California, Santa Clara Additional Locations: US, Arizona, Phoenix; US, California, Folsom; US, Oregon, Hillsboro Business group: The Data Center & Artificial Intelligence Group (DCAI) focuses on transforming Intel into a company that runs the cloud and billions of connected devices.
